Merchants of death,
crueler than the Merchant of Venice,
for he asked a pound of flesh,
they demand the whole of humanity.

What ransom have we paid ,
to these butchers,
who whilst being on the throne of power
crush the mankind for selfish reasons...

Did they ever pay a pound
from their own flesh and gore,
lived they on else's blood and air,
Parasites ,nothing more can they be ever.

Merchants of death...
Stop,this bloodshed and chaotic ruin...
you too will get wiped one day
when the soul shall awaken in the body of humanity...

Hark ! and listen to the inner self,
a moment of peace shall let you think,
you just need a pound of sky and a fistful of dust,
else everything shall be buried with your entity.

Indeed, 'Merchants of Death'!

Soumya !! I was listening to Andrea Bocelli's ' Con te Partiro' whilst reading your poem -- the angst in your poetry mingled piercingly with this particular soundtrack -- how striking is the human parting, worse, when it is based on nefarious predicaments.

A very powerful portrayal you have painted with your words -- I can see, feel touch your expressions - surely, you are writing profound pieces for us to reflect and probe what and how the 'Merchants of Death' resonates in each vein.
I esteem you (more) each time.

here is the track I am listening to -- it has passion, a vein -- that is of a different world.

Thank you very much Shaheen for sharing for esteemed view about the few scribbled lines. Indeed the angst is more intense and deep .While it takes a form of volcanic eruption or a huge catastrophe then the merchants of death pause and think for a second, else their ways and endless tortures never cease.
Iam glad you shared the track too ,which resonated with my thoughts.

Best wishes,
