Welcome to World Pulse!

Dear Elizabeth,

I am so glad you have joined World Pulse and are now part of this growing, thriving network of women around the world. Women from more than 190 countries join together here to share our stories, our struggles, problems and hardships, as well as our triumphs, successes and solutions. It is a powerful resource to elevate the voices and concerns of women and to band together to transform our world for the better. Welcome!

As a teacher you understand the impact education has on young people's lives and futures. Yet, like you say, all too often children's needs are not getting met due to poverty, lack of resources, lack of parental support and/or discrimination against girls. It must be heart-breaking and frustrating for you to witness, daily, this gap. Thank you for your commitment to community-building and working towards solutions to these social ills!

You will meet many others here at World Pulse who share your passion for transforming society to ensure that every child has access to a quality education and that they may reach their full potential and have a brighter future. To get started networking with others, it's helpful to read this "getting started" guide: http://worldpulse.com/pulsewire/about/guide

Again, welcome, Elizabeth! I hope to read more from you in the future about your ideas on how to strengthen your community so that each of its members thrive!

With love,

Susan

WNNIE MANDELA

I am just wondering if anyone still remembers the contribution Winnie made in keeping the struggle that Nelson started while he was in jail.Remember how she frequently cried out " LA LUTTA CONTINUA!" Are women's contribution overshadowed by men or forever erased by one mistake they make? Does the society easily forgive women? Could Mandela be as revered now if Winnie did not keep his fire burning?
