International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women!!! Unite and say NO! TBTT

Violence against women is a problem worldwide, occurring, to a greater or lesser degree in all regions, countries, societies, and cultures, and affecting women irrespective of income, class, race or ethnicity. The many forms of violence to which women are subject include battering, sexual abuse of female children in the household or dowry-related violence, marital rape, female genital mutilation, and other traditional practices harmful to women, killings in the name of "honour", non-spousal violence and violence related to exploitation, sexual harassment and intimidation at work, in educational institutions and elsewhere, trafficking in women, forced prostitution and violence perpetuated or condoned by the state. All this forms of violence go beyond oppressive behavior or discrimination generally, and constitute harm which results from force or coercion. Knowledge about the forms, incidence, causes and consequences of gender-based violence against women, as well as measures to confront it, has greatly developed over the last twenty years. Much of this can be attributed to the work of the United Nations, and so many other Gender-based Organizations, #IEVAWC, #Worldpulse, #takebackthetech. Friends, let us continue to Unite and say NO to violence against against women. Join us and join the Campaign!!!
Thank you all.
Your Friend,
Nabiye Tal

In Appreciation

Nabiye,

Thank-you so much for the contribution you are making to women, children and men worldwide. This is a very important issue, as you stated above, that affects women worldwide, to a greater or lesser degree, regardless of what country they live in or their income level.

It is exciting to start to see and envision a world where we are all treated with respect and kindness.

With much appreciation,
Grace

Stop the violence

Thanks, Nabiye Tal. The work of ending violence against women is very important. It needs communal effort and with all hands on deck, the systemic violence that women are subjected to in many facets of life will become history.
