Merci

THE STORY OF MY LIFE

My name is Odette Nshobole and I am 20 years old. I am a Congolese girl studying at the Evangelical University in Africa. I come from a family of eight children and I am the oldest girl in my family. I have a father and mother.

Thereupon, I praise my good God for having given me this opportunity to exchange information with World Pulse.

About my life: today I am 20 years old and it’s already been two years since my parents became incapable of honoring my rights because of difficulties in life and the big change that they’ve undergone. I began my primary studies in 1998 and God helped me to continue my studies all the way till now. I'm already in the third year toward the diploma in spite of difficulties of life: lack of school fees, But I give myself courage to continue with my studies.

The problem that I have right now in my family is the lack of school fees. My parents have become incapable of taking care of me and supporting the whole family. I am wondering if I am going to be able to continue with my studies. My parents have already told me that they no longer have the means to continue to support me.

In conclusion: From the time that I was born until now that I’m a big girl I’ve never had happiness, it’s been nothing but suffering.
I send my greetings to all people will have the courage to glance at this little journal.
Thank you

How are you now?

Hello, Odette

I am sorry to hear that you were sick. How are you now? You asked about my life. I am doing fine. I am married and I have three daughters. My oldest daughter is 26, the next one is 23, and the small one will be 20 in a few days. They are wonderful girls and I enjoy them very much. The oldest one graduated from the University in 2010. The second one and the youngest one are still studying. Studying is very important here in America if you were to get a good job someday. I work as a university professor.

Here is my email address if you would prefer to have a private conversation. Janusng@eckerd.edu

Thank you for writing to me in English.

Merci.
