Whose role?

Is it you or is it me?
Carrying a twisted gun in one hand and a smile across the face
Where were you when hope took a trip?
Come now carrying a placard

The huts have dried up
The goats cannot be milked
Silence manufactured a coup d'etat
Screams across the night dominate the horizon

Who is next?
Is it you or is it me?
Who will rescue?
Is it you or is it me?

Across the skies
Over the plains
A thunderous roar
of Amazon women

Who can stand?
With them, Justice carries her scale and weigh
War chants filled the air
Is there need for war?

Not resistance

Our bodies must be liberated
Our thoughts given expression
Our education given priority
Our environment sustainable

Whose role?
Is it me or is it you?

Who is next? Whether as a victim or a change maker, the question is for us all. It is better to rescue others now, even with that, people will know who you are and your stand against any form of abuse.......

Hmnnnn, we always forget that when we fight for others, we are invariably fighting for ourselves too..........

It is also good to realize the fact that when we stand for one woman we are stand for injustice anywhere, we are standing for injustice everywhere. It is better to stand and rescue than to 'sit down and look' and be runneth over.

More to come??? Welldone ma.

Thanks, I am just elated that my pen started working again... The blotting is over. And sure, in saving one is saving many.

That is getting me inspired.... drums rolling!
