Discrimination

In the city of Bukavu, girls continue to be the victim of inequalities and injustices. We experience many cases of violence and many don't know how to claim their rights. They don't know what their rights are. Even the church, a place we consider a refuge, favors injustice, tribalism and other types of violation.

There was a case of a girl who was suspended from the church choir because she wanted to change choir within the same church; she tried to negotiate but it in vain. Even in the church one cannot change choir. According to the law, we are free to choose our group.

In another case where a girl was suspended unjustly because of a pastor courted a girl in the choir choir, when his wife of found out she threatened the girl to bring her to justice. she thought that the problem would be solved if she kept quiet and didn't repeat what had happened, also she wanted to avoid others' scorn. The fact that she went to the house of the responsible pastor made the news. It was decided that the girl should be suspended from the choir and not the pastor It was the pastor who was responsible, and also this girl was a minor; A group was created to bring justice but these individuals were also suspended from the church until they departed and formed their own independent entity.
We demand that justice be served and that the rights of young girls be respected by everybody, even in the most remote places.
