It's my honor to welcome you to World Pulse! Thank you for joining and lending your voice to this international community of women and men from more than 190 countries around the world. I feel certain that you will find it to be an extraordinary platform for connecting with others.
I find your passion to discover new writers interesting. Are you in the publishing field? I wonder what brings you to World Pulse (there certainly are some great writers here who are waiting to be discovered....)
I want to share with you a link to the Getting Started guide that will help familiarize yourself with the World Pulse website and what it has to offer: http://worldpulse.com/pulsewire/about/guide
"I wish I could show you when you are lonely or in darkness the astonishing light of your own being."
Thanks for your lovely message.
I am not presently working in publishing - although I hope to eventually get work in that industry. The Writers Times is a project I have been contemplating for years; and after graduating from my postgrad degree at the University of Dundee I decided to pursue the idea rather than dreaming about it. To that end I have been searching the internet and universities for people across the world want to write about big international subjects, to publish information which will ignite much thought. That is how I came across World Pulse.
Of the people I have so far read, the urge they possess to write about issues of importance is captivating, even more so given they are often located in African states noted for their abuses of many.
I am particularly keen on finding women from states in which women are the subject of much tyranny: it is they who have something important to say - something which only people who experience oppression can describe.
All the best,
Thanks for connecting. I am so glad that you are inspired to give voice to women who experience oppression and have been silenced. What could be a more noble and important goal in life? Best of luck and every success in realizing your dream!!
