Introducing myself and my journal: Opening the Door
I am a 25 year old woman in New Mexico. I was born in Germany to an American mother and English father. I lived in England, and then in the US in Minnesota, Colorado, and now in New Mexico. I am a dual citizen of the United Kingdom and have lived in many places.
I grew up with an abusive father who repeatedly taught me that women were second class citizens, that woman were put on this Earth to serve men. He left the country and our family when I was 13, have not seen him since.
I left my family to escape alcohol abuse, dysfunction and disrespect of one another.
I pursued my college education at Naropa University in Boulder, CO and studied Buddhist Psychology and alternative health.
I did a semester abroad in an international ecovillage in Findhorn, Scotland studying international community building and sustainability.
I have worked in a welfare office, coffee shops, restaurants, in art studios, completed an internship at a Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic, and now I work in hospice managing a volunteer program.
I have been studying Tibetan Buddhism with H.E. Tulku Sang-ngag Rinpoche since 2009 and hope to someday visit holy Buddhist sites in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, etc. I wish for the Tibetan people to be free!
I wish for every woman to have the support and connection with other woman and resources to live a happy, safe, and fulfilling life, and to change the world for the better for each other!

My Vision for the Future:
for women to mutually align and support one another across borders, cultures, race, etc. For our men to be sincere allies in creating a better and safer world for everyone.
My Areas of Expertise:
I'm not an expert on anything, but I've learned a little about dance, psychology, and alternative medicine. I do understand a lot about the effects of abuse and neglect of children and the elderly.
