-Au niveau professionnel : bon nombre des femmes sud-kivuciennes sont chômeuses car elles heurtent à beaucoup des difficultés dans milieu de travail. Le chef pense que toutes les femmes de son organisation l’appartiennent ; il veut les utiliser comme des esclaves sexuels. Elles sont poussées à se marier à un homme qui n’est pas de son choix pour ne pas perdre du boulon ; risque plupart de divorce. Elles sont privées de certains tâches qu’elles pourraient être capable ;

Difficulties that intellectual girls face in Sud-Kivu

There aren’t a lot of intellectual girls in Sud-Kivu. Girls from this region prefer instead the easy way and choose married life over education. Girls as young as 17 years old are thinking about marriage!
Those who choose study face difficulties that disrupt their lives and make them feel without hope.
At school: despite a lack of compensation, some teachers exclude the little girls and fail them because they don’t give in to their demands.
Other girls have chosen motherhood because of their teachers and their lives have become miserable because of these rude teachers. Not only this, but some girls have turned to prostitution and some have contracted STDs because of them.
At home: Girls are discouraged when they fail in school and their parents end up ceasing the payment of school fees. Since the girls are no longer at school, they get married earlier than expected. Some parents use the girl’s education as a dowry incentive – instead of them marrying a man of their choice, they are pushed into marrying a man with an elevated social status to satisfy their parents.
In married life: you find in some homes that the girl has studied and reached a high level of education to be able to help support and feed the family, but her husband forbids her to work. This discourages other girls from studying.
On a professional level: a large number of women and girls form this region are unemployed because they continue to run into many difficulties in the workplace. The boss thinks that every female personnel belongs to him. He wants to use them as his sexual slaves. They are pushed to marry men that they have no interest in just so as not to lose their job. They are forbidden to carry out tasks that they would otherwise be capable of.
Thus, we have come up with some possible solutions:
To parents: Marrying the daughters off is no way to earn a living. A child’s education is not a gift. It is a right.
To students: Dob in these criminals using you as sex slaves.
To women: Join forces to create more jobs and more associations and do not marry just for the sake of getting married.
To governments: Take initiative and implement as many possible preventative measures and punish anyone who discriminates against women or ignores their rights!
Ladies, leads fight this discrimination and blatant disregard for our rights that makes us nameless and useless.

Bonjour Princesse, Merci de

Bonjour Princesse,
