VIOLENCE

Violence

The DRC is sometimes considered to be the worst place in the world because of its numerous wars and armed conflicts which have caused many problems such as violence towards women, conscription of children to armed troops, human rights violations, insecurity or lack of peace, etc... However, it is also overflowing with an extraordinary beauty which is of use to the entire world, with its mountainous areas, hydrography, forests, minerals and more.
Every day in South Kivu, in the city of Bukavu, we are surrounded by the beauty of Lake Kivu, the city landscape and its modern construction.

The power, culture and traditions of our community of justice for the most deprived people have been hidden from the rest of the world. The emancipation of women and the fight against impunity brings joy and inspiration into our lives, being surrounded by children and inclusive dialogue brings joy to our families and stability to our cities – rights for all bring us joy.

In our villages, traditional rites, births, marriage and harvesting crops brings us joy. With all that we have observed and all that we know, it is obvious to us that the beauty of our country must be protected, nourished and developed, and that protecting the environment well will benefit the lives of the people who live here.
