Reflections On Module 2

Tags:

Module 2 assignment left me emotionally drained.
There were times I felt I could not continue. Sometimes when I met with an interviewee, I got scared of asking some questions because I also had to confront the same questions inside. Other times, I found expressing my thoughts clearly a huge challenge. During those times, my mentors were so very supportive.

I recall Nasreen telling me to "let inspiration speak to me" and Barbara telling me to "write from the centre of myself."
They also have been very flexible with their time, all so I can meet my deadline.

In truth, I would not have been able to continue this journey without them.

Daily as I progress on my VOF journey, the wisdom behind WP providing us with mentors for the duration of this program is further impressed upon me. And I think its only fair that our mentors receive as much praise and recognition for all our amazing posts as we do.

Thank you WP. Thank you dear mentors. Thank you fellow VOFs.

Our voices make the WORLD PULSate.

Oh How I Agree with You!

Dear Vweta,
I totally agree that mentors, who are behind the scene, well deserve to be mentioned for our work. They are my guiding angels. Imagine, it is impossible to get such encouragement, corrections, directions and emotional support at the same time. For me it is even tougher to find anyone speaks and writes English professionally enough to help me with my writings since I can only find the farms and care homes around my home. In addition, taking leadership against all odds is, oh wow, superhuman tasks if you are surrounded by those who don't understand you but oppress you.
Let me emphasize the enormous value WP offers and I hope to find those who need help in voicing so that we can increase WP populations.

Thank you Vweta for bringing this up.
In deep appreciation and support,
Hideko N.

Thank you ....

.... Vweta, Hideko and all VOF correspondents for having the courage to take this journey despite all the odds against you. Like you, the further into the programme we go the more I realise the power of what WorldPulse has created in partnering women in this way.

It is a privilege and pleasure to have the opportunity to play a small part in helping such amazing power women find and strengthen their voices. I am learning so much about the reality for women across the globe and you are all inspiring me to continue my own work with women.

Together we will roar and the world will listen.
