The Beauty of the DRC

Placed in the center of Africa, the Democratic Republic of Congo is a country one cannot miss with its 2,345,000km2 surface area, with its population more than 60,000,000, and its enormous resources. It is a francophone country, which became independent in 1960.

In fact, the DRC is a very rich country from many aspects. Under its soil, it detains many resources envied by almost all of the other countries in the world: diamonds, uranium, copper, cobalt, manganese, gold, cassiterite.

And with its river Congo, 2nd most powerful river after the Amazon River, and with its many lakes, rivers, DRC is among the richest countries, again, in terms of the most water-rich countries. After brazil, this country has the biggest forest in the world, the equatorial forest and seven national parks: park Kahuzi Biega, Park Kundelungu, Upenmba, Solango, Maiko, … and they contain many animals that are very important such as okapis, elephants, lions, gorillas, chimpanzees.

However, despite its richness of the current republic that are this high, it is nit easy to identify all, and unfortunately for its inhabitants, since more than the 90% of it’s population does not profit from this richness at all; they rest in misery. It is always stated by its indigenous population that this richness is often sources of insecurities, wars, and other things because many of the world powers are searching their development thanks to these resources.

Lastly, the richness of the Congolese soil needs to become profitable to all its population and should not bring them misfortune.
