SOLUTIONS FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

--Exploitation is the root of many evils, such as: sexually transmitted illnesses, which are far too present in mining areas. Men abandon their families, saying they’ll send something back, but really they’re looking for an easy living. Afterwards they never come back, leaving their family to a sad fate.

--Deforestation is responsible for climate change and global warming. Farmers are the most affected, since they never know when they should start planting, given that they don’t know if the rainy season will start before it’s supposed to or if the dry season will start early.

This is all a recipe for bad results, food products are becoming rare and expensive at market. Prices are rising and it affects everyone.

How do we depend on the environment every day? The environment is the only place God planned for human, animal, and plant life. Once it is damaged, all of creation will feel the blow. Example: The air we breathe and water are polluted.

Solutions: a women’s project AAFO will soon be starting the large-scale production of charcoal made from palm nut waste.

Upon burning, this charcoal doesn’t put off smoke or odor and it lasts longer than charcoal from wood because of its calorific properties. This palm nut waste is found especially in areas where oil is extracted from the palm nut and is very plentiful.

If this project takes off, cutting down trees for the manufacture of charcoal might slow down, and it may be a source of hope and will contribute to the creation of jobs in many areas.

Merci

Bonjour Kika Sylvie,

A bientôt,
LightMyWay
