WHAT DOES THE INTERNET MEAN TO ME?

By definition, the internet is a technological network created through the interconnection of networks and computers. Today the internet provides a host of services the world over. The internet makes services like e-mail or the World Wide Web (WWW, for short) widely available to the public. From a technical standpoint, the Internet is defined by the use of a communication protocol called “IP.”

To me, the internet is an opening into the world, an answer to questions, a means of rapid communication, and…I’ll mention too that I’ve used the computer for only three months and I’m discovering a ton of new things every day, the good and the bad. But I’m happy for the opportunity that the Maman Shujaa Center has given me to modernize and keep myself up to date.

In addition to that, I’m discovering all the interesting possibilities that are part of IT, as well as all the shortcuts. It keeps our brains sharp. Naturally virtual communication is very interesting and gives us another perspective besides being stuck in a sometimes tedious daily routine. Thanks to the internet, we can keep those closest to us at a distance, and get closer to those who are furthest away; it’s an excellent way to find information, a means of cultivating oneself, of sharing common experiences, of getting the opinion of a multitude of web users, of being able to correspond. As for its usage, I think we should find a healthy balance between the other activities, work, leisure, family, etc. that we might have. In all good things that we have, the Internet currently presides in first place.

Merci

Cordialement,
