Protection of Children

In all decisions that concern the protection of children, all children are born to grow, to be protected, to have an education, health, spirit morality and nutrition. The responsibilities of parents is the best form of education for children and to raise a child falls to the head of the household and the joining of two parents. It is the state that should help them exercise these responsibilities. It is their job to help provide assistance to raise a child. If the responsibility of parents is missing it gives rise to street children called Mayibobo in the DRC. We ask the State to help parents and take the children off the streets so they can study. It is the State that can use its best efforts to ensure the recognition of the principle that the parents are responsible for the raising of their children and to ensure their development. The responsibility of raising the child and to ensure their development rests with the legally appropriate person or parent responsible. They must foremost be the best guides for the best interests of the child. They must take all appropriate measures to ensure that the parents work for the benefit of these services and the institutions for childcare. The children is defined as a human being younger than 18 years old except if the national law makes the majority younger in which case that law is applicable. But even handicapped children have the right to benefit from special care as well as an education and a proper training that allows them a full and decent life of dignity and to have a degree of autonomy and social integration to the most students.
