"It is said that that which we love is always beautiful."

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is a country whose beauty is so striking and interesting that I shall not attach myself to any particular description.
I would like to point out that in general, I seriously doubt that there is anything comparable to the Congo, and there is reason to believe that it has not finished developing, because it contains a remarkable architectural wealth.

Boasting a unique and incomparable geographical location, it is bounded on the north by the Central African Republic and South Sudan, to the east by Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania to the south by Zambia and Angola and to the west by the Angolan enclave of Cabinda, the People's Republic of Congo and forty kilometers of the Atlantic Coast limit it to the West. It has a surface area of 2345 km2, slightly lower than a quarter of the United States of America. It is about 33 times larger than Belgium.
Also, it is occupied largely by the Congo Basin and spreads unevenly along the equator, between 5 ° 30 ' North Latitude and 13 ° 50' South latitude , and a longitude with Greenwich from 12 ° 15 ' to 31 ° 15'. It has a variety of climates, with two seasons of which one is dry and the other is the rainy season.

The Congo is one of the countries that represent the greatest biodiversity in the world. Its surrounding setting is very beautiful and has many varieties of forests, rivers, streams and lakes.
Congo's forests account for nearly half of Africa’s humid tropical forests and cover about 135 million hectares, of which 99 million is moist and dense forest, or 67 % of the national territory. Ecosystems of the Congo are rich, unique and diverse because the Ituri Forest is one of the sites in Congo with the richest wildlife as a result of its status as a forest refuge for certain species that have gone extinct outside of tis borders (mainly as a result of the destruction of the virgin forest, which fortunately is recovering a large portion of its original territory). It contains beautiful animals like the Okapi, adults range from 200 to 300 Kilos; and the Congolese Peacock (Afropavo congoensis), which are an endemic species known only in the rain forests of Ituri in northeastern Congo; Gorillas are the largest of the primates, measuring up to 1.80 meters, with 180 Kilos; the Northern white Rhinoceros snake, lion , buffalo , antelope and giraffe. Also, we have in our villages the chicken , dog , goat , sheep, and everywhere there are mice, rats , butterflies , ants , snakes , toads , lizards , flies and mosquitoes.

National Parks of Congo makeup unique laboratories in the world, where biologists, zoologists, chemists, botanists, geologists, volcanologists, geographers and other specialists flock because they discover there phenomena that only the wisdom of the conversation of natural wealth can preserve. Throughout the Republic , there are now nine parks, blessed with an exceptional flora and fauna, including the national park of Garamba , Kahuzi -Biega , Kundelungu , Maiko, Mangroves, Salonga, Upemba, Virunga and Lomani which is in the process of being created. The Congo has 63 reserves and hunting areas among which we mention the hunting area of Bukama, Mwanza, the Kundelungu Plateau, Sandoa , the Sakania and the Forest Reserve Lomani-Lualaba, of Maniema, South Masisi of Itombwe , the Sankuru Nature Reserve.

The Congo River, being 4700 km long , having a flow rate of 50 000m3 / Second , with its large pool of 3.80 million km2 , which holds the second largest rainforest in the world , accounting for about 18% of the jungle tropical world is after the Nile , the second longest river in Africa , the first and most important river in Africa by its flow, and the second largest river in the world after the Amazon.

Also, the Congo has the mountain lakes full of fish such as Lake Albert, Tanganyika , Kivu , Edward , lakes plateaus such as Moero Lake Bangweulu , and finally, the residual lakes such as Lake Tumba and Mai- Ndombe. We have clean water and fresh breathing are in large part, thanks to the biodiversity that we strive to preserve.

All of this explains the rich biodiversity of the Congo, so that the preservation of natural resources is one of its top priorities because that is what contain all forms of life. In the Congo, there is a scandalous wealth that is hidden to the world because it has a fairly rich and varied mineral potential still poorly understood and therefore untapped. It contains in its basement 80% of the world's coltan , nearly half of those Cobalt , 10 % of global leather, more than a quarter of all global diamonds and lots of gold , manganese , iron, etc.

Based on the extraordinary beauty of Congo mentioned above, what would bring joy and inspiration in my life is peace, wealth, labor, justice including the rights of women, wisdom, prayer, endurance, patience, hope, and morality are also positive experiences to help me through the tough times in life.
Finally, beauty such as minerals, forests should be protected, nurtured and amplified.

Chere Kasindi, Merci pour ce

Chere Kasindi,
