Introducing myself and my journal: The Rising Star

About Me:
I'm a student of the Access Academy, Asian University for Women, Chittagong Bangladesh. I'm from Jaffna, the northern part, which is called the brain of Sri Lanka and also a war torn area. For all my achievement in studies my family, my society and my teachers are the reasons behind them. More importantly, my dad who never showed any differences between his boy and girl children is the reason behind my success in being a self dependent girl in taking any decision and confronting any difficulties in my life. My ambition is to become a doctor and serve the people are suffering from the endless war in my country. God has bestowed me this opportunity to study in this university, so I hope I will succeed in my studies and fulfill my desire in serving those people who really need my help. One great inspiration to me in achieving my dream is Doctor Paul Farmer. I believe as an educated , independent girl ,I can think over the barriars of our societies and bring solutions for women empowerment.

My Passions:
Chemistry, Debates on any topic, Expressing my thoughts in speech or writings

My Challenges:
Speaking continuously

My Vision for the Future:
Being a self dependent woman, effective citizen to the society.

My Areas of Expertise:
Science: Chemistry, Biology

Welcome To PulseWire!

Hi Usitha,

It's a joy to have you as a part of the PulseWire community! Your voice and vision is so inspiring, especially as a woman from such a war torn part of the world. I am anxious to hear more about life in Sri Lanka, especially as a woman in Jaffna. I look forward to hear more of your voice on this site.

Warm regards,

hi Jade

Thanks dear for your wishes. I'm glad to meet you here. I can tell you about my life in Jaffna. It seems you know something about Jaffna. Though there is war, living in my motherland is such an awesome feeling still I can smell the incense of sand that comes during rainy seasons. So if you ask me I'm ready to answer your questions. Also I'm eager to know about you .
With kind regards,
