At Last!

Syrian Kurdish & American flags together

Dear Each and Every One,

The day has arrived, at last, when my previous Correspondent -- from 2011-12 -- and now beloved friend, "Hummingbird," a Kurdish Syrian, will come to my home for a brief and precious visit. When she arrives, she'll see her flag flying with the American flag . . .

. . . and any of you who ever come to my home will be accorded the same loving respect!

Lina, my dear current Correspondent, take note! (Philippines)

Leigh Anne, our devoted Editorial Mentor (Portland!)

Any of you who'd like a retreat among the dogs, armadillos and Sand Hill Cranes! (Your Country Here)

Hummingbird has just finished a two-week Women In Public Service conference in Pennsylvania, at the very same college from which my Mum and both my sisters graduated. She'll come to us in Florida before returning home, and experience the joys of having two large-ish dogs following her everywhere, including into bed.

More photos to come.

With Joy,

Sarah

Hooray!

Sarah, I met Hummingbird when she was in Portland on her World Pulse Live tour. I've been so worried about her and her country. she has not posted recently on ther page and that added to the worry. I'm so delighted to hear she is doing well...and thriving. Please let her know Jana (the woman who gave her books in Portland) greets her with love and admiration!

Hello, Jana

Jana,

How lovely to 'meet' you! Nisan is sitting beside me, is indeed thriving and will be reaching out to you.

I went to your WP page and smiled over Madame Banana. My 4-legged sons, as you've read, are doggies, but love cats, too, as does Nisan.

Your life and work sound wonderful, worthwhile and rewarding.

I note you went to FSU - we now live in Florida -- sw coast -- having moved from NY about a year and a half ago.

Keep in touch if the spirit moves you,

- Sarah

Good morning all!

Dear Sarah and Nisan! So happy to hear from you! Sounds like you are having a lovely visit. Yes, I'm a former Floridian. i grew up in Pensacola but now live in Portland...very diffrent coasts. Sadly Madame Banana died last July but i've not had the heart to change my profile pic. Her sister, Escarpment (better known as Scarpey) is now the reighning CAT. I love nisan's profile picture with her lovely furry friend!

Wow!

I can imagine your excitement, and how honoured Hummingbird will feel to see her country's flag flying outside your home. Very much too, having it side by side with your country's flag. It reminds me of a presidential welcome!

You are such a creative and exciting host Host! Enjoy your time together.

Much love to you ALL from Nigeria,
Greengirl
