CONTAT

Narrate

Among our eight components of primary health care, there are some that are not respected in the Congo and precisely in Bukavu. They are lack of adequate supply of safe drinking water and lack of basic sanitation methods. Today in Bukavu, one can see a new social phenomenon that is “containers in the streets from 4am on” always looking for water. Thus, we can note that this new phenomenon increases the rates of sexual violence in Bukavu, not only that but also traffic accidents, which are at the basis of high death rates per day. Furthermore, it is girls and women who are the victims of all this since boys do not go looking for water. There is also non-compliance for family planning, which consequently, affects the family life. The list is not complete!
