A Gift from Nature

This picture was taken while I was on an Environment Impact Study visit to a mining site at Bin Yauri, Kebbi State Nigeria.

As I watched the canoes ferry people across the Yauri River, it was very refreshing to experience the soothing feel of the late afternoon cool breeze; and also gaze at the dazzling reflection of the sunset on the surface of the waters.

Caring for and protecting our ecosystem is a collective responsibility. Together, we can rise up to the task!

Nature

Nature takes care about us giving such amazing emotions and feelings. We also need to take care about it. You are right, Greengirl, it's our collective task.

Warmest greetings from the Black Sea,
Iryna

Ah, Thank You . . .

Dear Greengirl,

I stand beside you, and all the more so when you advocate for our beautiful natural world. Your description of the experience of standing where this soothing photo was taken is as cinematic as the picture itself. Beautiful.

Without our natural world and our ability to not only appreciate but revere it, we can find no peace, I feel. Nature is like silence -- sometimes! -- in that without truly immersing ourselves in it on some regular basis -- even if briefly -- iwe can not move forward spiritually, soulfully, internally . . .toward any sort of serenity. At least I cannot.

So, thank you.

With Mutual Love of Our Planet,

Sarah

You Sounded Really Green

Your words were so reassuring and made me smile. I am glad too that you are standing beside me in solidarity for our 'beautiful natural world.

"Nature is like silence -- sometimes! -- in that without truly immersing ourselves in it on some regular basis -- even if briefly -- we can not move forward spiritually, soulfully, internally . . .toward any sort of serenity. At least I cannot". I just so much love the way you pieced this thought together and all I want to do now is shout it out!

You are a true lover of NATURE, and together we can walk the talk and talk the walk.

Much love to you,
Greengirl
