Introducing myself and my journal: THE AFRICAN LADY

About Me:
I am a true African woman. Strong, bold and loud! But all with reason.
I draw my inspiration from women like my mother, who have beaten the odds and made something out of nothing and raised children that have an example to look at.
I love to read and write and take pictures as well as meeting new people and learning much from them.
I like to help empower women to come out of whatever limitations they are faced with and build their confidence so as to enable them become achievers even int he smallest way.
I am Christian who loves Jesus (Alot) but i am not in any way judgmental of others.

My Passions:
music, basketball, travel, women empowerment, literature

My Vision for the Future:
To be able to look back and see women whose lives were changed for better because they met me, and communities that got better because i visited them

My Areas of Expertise:
community development and women empowerment

Welcome to you!

Brijt- Welcome to this World Pulse community! After reading this first entry, I can see that yes, you are a strong and bold woman. Your voice is being heard. What a great need you are fulfilling by empowering women who face such challenge in their daily lives. I am sure you will find many here who would benefit from these passions and gifts you have. I would love to hear more about the tools you use to help empower others, or more specifics regarding how you came to do this kind of work. I share your passion in this.

If you haven't already, you can explore the WP site to see all the exciting things going on and ways to take action. I have found the quickest way to enter into this community is to click on the "Voices Rising" link, which is under the "PulseWire" tab near the top of the screen. From there you can easily access and read journal entries, and perhaps make a comment in reply. In order to add people to your community, click on the person's name. You will be taken to their profile, and can click on the 'add to my community' link under their photo.

Be sure to check out these links for many other ways to be involved with WP:
