My Voice Is My Roar !

" In order to carry a positive action we must develop here a positive vision." - Dalai Lama

We live in a noisy world. We are constantly bombarded by 'voices' dictating us what to do, what to feel, what to wear and even what to eat. It becomes difficult to find your voice amidst this cacophony. I reached a point in my life, where i said, " ENOUGH!".

I was tired of my society constantly telling me to neglect the glaring inequalities entrenched deep in our " Indian " psyches, and to accept things as they were. I was tired of living in a "man's world" where power is used to control us. I was tired of being constantly told how to be - me, myself.

My voice therefore roars. It is passionate and loud. Very loud. And it does not stop roaring, until people look up and notice. It begs people to look beyond me as an "object" and accept me as a human - with emotions, dreams and passion.

My voice is my change. My voice inspires the present and transforms the future.

Honest, strong, solution based journalism is the way forward for my country and its women. I envision a world where there are no more barriers between human beings. All people are respected and valued and treated equally. I envision a world where womanhood is celebrated and NOT dictated. I know that world is possible. Together we shall make it possible.

From one woman to another, i ask you to raise your voice. I encourage you to find the truth. I hope to inspire you to celebrate yourself - as a woman.

Lots of love to all,

Here we are

Completely agree and support you, Mukut. Today it's not enough just to be a woman to deserve respect from a man. You must look like top model, have successfull career, earn good for both, be caring mother and wife, amazing cooker, keep your house in perfect condition and cherish nonstop his male ego. And for a man?.. enough just to have primary sex characteristics? This is awful situation, I think. And if a woman must be so perfect then why she needs a man?
I want we respect each other and complement each other. Only in this case we can grow happy children!

Warmest greetings,
Iryna

We are in it together!

Exactly ! Why do we need a man then ? I know many people are put off once i start talking about feminist activism. But I want to tell them, that we want men as allies. We cannot achieve equality and respect, by waging a war against each other. We need to be together in this, to achieve a better future.

Am so glad i have loving sisters/ allies all over the world here on World Pulse, who feel and think the same way.

Appreciate your thoughts. Very hard hitting and compelling.

Love you my dear friend !
