Something Greater than a Label

dscn731072.jpg

This picture reflects so much about my personality. Who I am, what I choose to believe in, but this picture comes with judgment, questions, and conflict. As Socrates said for I know that I know nothing at all. When I took this picture one day in church after service, it was a moment where the stain glass reflected a piece of my soul. Something greater than judgement that was reflected on me from the influence of the world.

I am a seeker. I believe in Jesus but I am different because I believe everyone is right in their own way. Jesus did not stop loving people who did not believe, he did not persecute them, and he reached his hand out to the rejected members of society. The poorest people he preached would have the biggest blessing in heaven.

I just relate more to the people that were rejected, the misfits, the poor, and the lowly. Knowing the power of God is awesome, I have something more to look forward to when I exercise my faith. If Jesus loved them, then I know he loves me.

Where others label me because of my gender, skin color, ethnicity, status, class and even criticize me for believing in God in my own way, practicing Yoga, and questioning religions ills, God finds me fit to be a queen. I find that my style is who I am and I was made this way for a reason. I can only share my vision with you the way I know how and through the Gifts God has given me. To try it any other way would leave my vision distorted but then no one, not even me would like it.

These photographs were taken with a camera, but I molded that camera to fit my style. Using the zoom on my lens to pinpoint the target. Just like my style of photography fits me, the same goes for every single human being and how they find God. This is why I say everyone is right so long as you are seeking God with all your heart. He/she has many names. Each bible interprets what is God inspired through words man has written but somewhere deep down inside we know as human beings we are all connected through a spiritual being that is greater then us, a creator.

So at first look you may label me as a Christian and that is okay, but through my words I prefer to discard the label because a label does not save souls. A label does not give people comfort when they are in pain. Labels are convenient ways to disregard valuable information in a justified manner to calm the mind.

There have been many spiritual teachers to roam this earth which I respect. We all learn differently, why else would there be so many great ones. Could it be that each teacher is effective because he or she relates to one culture of people who has different needs from another one? We must ask ourselves questions when feelings arise, looking deeper into why we believe what we believe. You are my brother because you are my brother, and my sister because you are my sister. I must love my creator and I must love you.. For both reflect the pieces that reside with in me.

Thanks for sharing, Rochelle.

The post and accompanying pictures convey a message of truth, with so much depth.Your expertise in Photography is also very impressive.

Just a question for you: Please how can I make the title of a picture appear right under it just like you have dscn731072.jpg under the first picture in the post? I have made several attempts without getting it right.

Keep sharing,
Greengirl

Thank you Greengirl

Thank you for commenting on my work. I am happy you enjoyed the visual to go along with the writing. The first picture you upload will be the picture that posts next to your article/journal entry. Every picture you upload after it will go underneath the entry. Try it a few times, you can always re edit to play with the pictures a little.

Thanks

I know the part of the positions of the picture. What I really need to know is how to make a picture title text appear directly under the first picture that is positioned next to my journal entry. Do you get me now? Any ideas? I will love to hear from you.

Eagerly,
Greengirl

Good Morning :) I'm not sure

Good Morning :) I'm not sure about the this but I think it's the DEFAULT title that appears - whatever the name of the image you upload, how it is stored on the World Pulse main computer/s that's how it will appear. We don't have control over labelling or resizing the title or so as yet :(

Hope this helped

Powerful Message

Thank you for sharing that powerfull meassage, I believe that if you look at people as God's creation and dont focus on the label, skin colour, or title you will be amazed with how people will respond to you, you will be able to touch people's lives with compassionate Love, especially to those in need.

It is just the same thing with what is happening with our WP family(online) we all communicate as if we know each other or we have met before, we all get moved with what we share ,we respond to each other well, we love and encourage each other and we are always there for each other. I call that the POWER of GOD's grace, AND IT IS "LOVE" that brings us closer. I also love your pictures they really tell alot by just looking at them.

Yes Towela

I feel it is by God's grace that I was led here to WP. It is the power of community that brings us together. God is a unifying spirit that loves all of us, we are the people of his community. Brothers and sisters, we accept all even when we are unfamiliar with who they are or where they come from. It is love, it is self discovery, questing for answers, being open minded to beliefs of people far and wide as well as having the courage to share our own.

There has never been a day that I did not learn something new.

God is good and the victory is amazing. Thank you for looking over my work, the writing, the photography are all just pieces of me that rest inside waiting to come out excitability to be shared.
