Cordialement

MY HISTORY AND VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
My name is Anuarite, born in East Africa of the Congolese nationality. I’m from a Christian family. I am studying humanities but due to poverty, I had no chance to attend the University school I needed in order to continue my University Studies. In our community, there are often girls who study at the University and since poverty fills our country with the lack of means to continue, the girls always succumb to cleaning, and making dinner and basic household/kitchen work. When I was 9 years old, I started taking care of myself in order to find some clothing because the poverty that led my family because I was paying a lot for my studies, sometimes I completed a year of unemployment without studying because of lack of money, thus I finished the secondary school in misery, and no I’m still at home because of the lack of resources at the University. Of the 100% of students enrolled, there are 40% today that are girls who go to school because of their discrimination and poverty, the girls do not find time to grow and to excersize their rights, so in some community homes, people do not consider girls as human beings.

-Raising awareness and building illiterate centers for those who have not yet attended the schools is essential
-Construct the framework for centers for girls to help our girls develop their intellectual capacity.
-Also give the chance to those who have already made it through high school to continue their university studies to see how they can earn their future life. Understand that I am one of the girls who is a victim of poverty without the means to continue the studies I need.

Regards,
Anuarite

Salut Anuarite, Merci

Salut Anuarite,

alex

Hi Anuarite,

Thank you so much for sharing. I do hope you have access to the education you deserve soon. Every woman as intelligent and persistent such as yourself deserves the chance to take control of her future and absorb as much knowledge as possible.

Are there any plans in place to create a scholarship system? What Univeristy are you hoping to attend?

I hope you are well.

alex

Cordialement;
ANUARITE
