Introducing myself and my journal: Get in the Flow

About Me:
Our mantra is 'Every girl. Everywhere. Period.' We mean that. Days for Girls works to break the cycle of poverty by providing sustainable feminine hygiene and health education to girls and women throughout the world. When girls and women have solutions they can count on for their monthly cycles, they gain back days of school, work, and play they have been missing. Menstrual hygiene solutions bring back days of freedom and days of dignity. A girl who receives a beautiful, handcrafted Days for Girls kit learns that her body is precious and unique, not cursed, and that she is worthy of care and protection.

My Passions:
Women and girls, community involvement, teamwork, sewing, good causes, empowerment

My Challenges:
Support for organizational staff and overhead

Welcome "Days for Girls!!"

Dear Days for Girls,

Wow! What a WONDERFUL program you have and how needed and inspirational it is to women and girls everywhere!l Thank you for joining World Pulse and welcome! I am so, so glad you have joined and can share the amazing work that you do with this community of women and girls from more than 190 countries around the world. I have been reading the book "Half the Sky" recently and read about the tragic fact that thousands of girls are missing out on their daily activities due to lack of access to feminine hygiene. Thank you for your incredibly important work in helping to solve this problem!

To learn how to navigate the World Pulse website and how to start networking with others here at World Pulse, I encourage you to read the Getting Started Guide:

Your contribution is so valuable and I hope you continue to post to your journal and share with us the work that you're doing. I'm sure there will be many others here that will want to collaborate with you and exchange information and solutions to your challenge of adequate support for your staff/overhead. Please reach out to those who share your goals, interests, and vision.

Thanks again for joining! I look forward to reading more from you in the days to come!

With love and respect,

"I wish I could show you when you are lonely or in darkness the astonishing light of your own being."
