Man or monster

"God made him, and therefore let him pass for a man.” Act 1, Scene 2 - Merchant of Venice.

Choice words for every so-called 'man' who thinks wearing trousers and possessing the requisite physiological appendage qualifies him, gives him the right or justifies him to raise his hand against any woman.

Is violence the answer to everything?

You know what? I pity you. You make me sick
Desperate, inadequate, insecure.
Nothing and no one will ever be good enough for you
So you seek to control her?

Does it make you feel better?
Hearing her scream? Seeing the frightened faces of your children?
So you love them? Do you? Really?
Provider/Protector, ever heard of those?

Two more words for you. Pathetic....Weak

And you call yourself a man??

Say it like it is!

That's been my experience as well... inadequate men chose to put others down in order to feel adequate. Like you, I have alternated between hating one, to feeling sorry for him. It surely must be torturous to walk around knowing that you are a monster, but always justifying your actions. I liked your passion and your honesty.

Strong women

I hear you. Weak men think it is with violence that they are able to earn respect. How little respect they get in reality. They mix up fear with respect. No woman should bend her knees before insolent might. Through technology we need to build an army of strong women, who will stand shoulder to shoulder with men. Women who are not afraid of speaking out loud against the atrocities she has experienced and witnessed.

Let us all join hands and welcome that army of strong invincible women!

Very powerful and to the point. You put into words something that is rarely called out-- the fact that a man exerting his physical strength over a woman is actually a sign of weakness. Thank you for you eloquence and bravery.

Powerful poetic

Even a man does not recognize how gender inequality influence their life.
But you make it clear!
