Over the next few days, the women of the Association of Women and Children in Danger are holding a day of reflection on the actions which affect the members of that association.

After debate and deliberation, the following activities have been decided upon: microfinance, rotating among the members.
For this activity, the women and girls of this association contribute 500 FC or .50 American dollars per week and two hundred cents in Congolese francs.

The day that the members give the 500 FC is the same day that the members give a credit to the preprogrammed beneficiary members and 200 FC serves as collateral in case of problems with members: sickness, mourning, births, accidents or other circumstances.

If these women are a part of this group, it is because they have been abandoned or abused by their husbands, others are widows and orphans and along with their other responsibilities they are in charge of all the plans for the education of their children, their thirst, their food, etc.

Without means at their disposal, some of these women become landladies, which is a way to survive with an income of 20 dollars instead of less than 0 dollars.

These women leave the house in the morning at 7:00 and do not return to the house until after 10 pm.
We have tried to find within this association, how to support these women who start as girls and women who have nothing.

Of this primary activity, which is business, they are not able to take the course in computers at the Mama Shujaa center, more than 7 km from their neighborhoods and also one day per week for an awareness meeting.
As part of this activity, they are also members of their religious community. This association seeks well-meaning people.

Comments
