Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I am a development practitioner with more than eighteen years of post qualification experience in the development sector. I have worked in different geographical areas across India. Having worked in the field of poverty, gender, reproductive health, education, HIV and AIDS I am well aware of relevant national and international covenants and commitments. This gives me integrated social development perspective and I am aware of broader framework of citizen rights, reproductive and sexual rights and rights of PLHIV. In terms of strategy I have worked across programme management, capacity building, advocacy, research and networking .In terms of project management, I have been responsible for managing the overall project cycle of work planning, budget Planning, implementation monitoring and report writing

My Passions:
Research and Advocacy pertaining to gender and health

My Challenges:
Finding people who do not preach and teach values, but live by them

My Vision for the Future:
Where the religion of “Humanism” is greater than all sorts of “isms”

My Areas of Expertise:
Health, HIV/AIDS and Gender

Welcome

I love your vision and hope that through the connections made on PulseWire, we can work together to create a future where humanism is the greatest religion of all. You are doing such important work and I applaud your efforts in India. I hope you will be inspired to share with us some of the issues and success stories you have encountered -- they may provide insight and inspiration for others facing the same challenges day-to-day.

Also, I am so happy that you have joined our Voices of Our Future group and look forward to hearing more from you. You might want to browse through all of our community groups as it's a great way to build powerful networks, find members with similar interests to your own, share ideas or actions. Or, you may consider starting your own group where you can build a powerful network bringing together PulseWire members with similar visions who want to share ideas or actions. With the group journal, you can brainstorm solutions, pose questions, test ideas and create a support network for your visions.

Again, welcome and I know that you will find PulseWire to be engaging, inspiring and thought-provoking.
