Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I work in arts marketing and communications for Australia's internationally acclaimed contemporary circus, Circus Oz. Circus Oz is committed to gender equity and social justice, as well as inspiring generations of Australians. I also have a deep-seeded passion for human and women's rights, working as a volunteer for International Women's Development Agency (IWDA) for the past 3 years. My work there has ranged from an event and sponsorship intern, documentary filmmaker and my latest position committee member.

You can access my online documentary, Strength of Women, here:
The documentary is about IWDA partner organisation, Kantha Shakthi, based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It tells of the positive consequences that occurred after the Indian Ocean tsunami, and provides an outlet for rural women to speak about their life experiences and relationship with Kantha Shakthi.

In the future I hope to further my studies in the development field. Please feel free to email me

My Passions:
travelling and exploring other cultures, human and women's rights, live performance and artistic expression, documentaries

My Challenges:
Learning as much as possible

My Vision for the Future:
Completing an Masters in International Development

My Areas of Expertise:
Marketing and Communications, PR, Media, Filming and Editing

G-day! (from a kiwi)

Welcome to PulseWire. It's great to see an Aussie joining this amazing community. I hope you have managed to stay clear of the fires, and that you and your family are safe.

I applaud the work you have been doing and can't wait to watch the documentary on the positive consequences of the Tsunami. You must tell us all about your work with Circus Oz, which sounds so uplifting and joyful. I have never heard of a circus being used as a platform for social justice and just love the idea.

Also, did you know that you can build powerful networks through PulseWire Groups ( There are so many amazing groups here, full of inspired and strong voices. I have no doubt you will find PulseWire to be engaging and thought-provoking. Welcome to the sisterhood of rising voices and I look forward to hearing your Aussie voice ring out across the pacific.
