Introducing myself and my journal: Truth and the Human Experience

About Me:
I'm 30 years old and from a small town in Oregon. I am like most people in that my life seems full of and made up of a million less than noteworthy experiences none of which I could have become me without, but that don't seem worth telling all the same. It's fair to say I'm very curious in nature and I have a love for the truth. I don't think I have a grasp on what "the truth" is... I think that there are so many individual truths for each person and each human experience. That is one of my favorite things about life, the wonder behind each person's own understanding of life and their existence, the purpose they might stumble upon and the confounding uncertainty of it all. I have a passion for my fellow women and really all those inhabiting this planet. My connection to women comes in from a gratitude for my own position as a woman in this culture and the desire to see all humans have access to safety and choices for themselves in their lives. It just so happens that most who are deprived of these freedoms are women and it's heart-breaking. I hope that in my life I can be a part of a deeper understanding and of change for the better in our world.

My Passions:
Human Rights and Gender Equality

My Challenges:
Trying to take on everything

My Vision for the Future:
A world driven by the pursuit of equity, freedom and sustainable existence

My Areas of Expertise:
French and Geography (political and human geography)

Hello and Thank you!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm glad that you could identify with what I said. It's hard to put yourself out there sometimes and you kind of wonder if what you're saying makes sense to anyone but you. So far, my experience with World Pulse has been very positive and I feel excited to be connecting with other women who care and that I can relate to and learn from! Nice to meet you!

Welcome!

I enjoyed reading your post, Boughnea. I just joined World Pulse myself and am excited to be part of this online community of women around the world. What an amazing concept! I feel a little giddy about it, actually, like I've only scratched the tip of the iceberg, in terms of what is available on the World Pulse website and there's such a treasure trove of insight, learning, and chances to be inspired. Thank you for your contribution. I look forward to reading more from you, as I too am an idealist...a curious person, in search of truth.

Warmly,

Susan
