Be what, You Want to Be

A Woman’s Vision
In life, you will realize that there is a role for everyone you meet. Some will test you, some will use you, some will love you and some will teach you. But, the ones that are important are the one who would bring out the best in you. They’re the rare and amazing people who remind you why it’s worth being alive.
My personal vision, is to be passionate and successful in life, to propagate love, equality, peace, and justice among all humans including me. To be able to establish a culture of peace building in homes, in communities and the world. My purpose is to pave the way for the scared and unsure woman in my community. My mission is to build future women’s rights defenders from present day children. Build a nation free from Violence against women. I wish to promote the image of women who are living with pain and torture and also to help them feel proud, excited, and part of something much bigger than themselves. To have a positive impact on every person with whom I come in contact; living daily a life dedicated to integrity, commitment, challenge, and joy; loving my family and valuing my marriage; to feel that inner peace and joy that knows no bounds. To create and maintain an atmosphere of hope, for women who are able to excel in their careers, politically, socially and economically. They will be the touch light for others in their communities.
To the world, I will show the less fortunate, the abused, of any background, culture, or race. Any man, woman, or child that is in need of healing or simply a helping hand; that with creativity, spirituality, and empathy there is some courage to take charge of their life's path. I will continue to demonstrate unity to those I am blessed to meet throughout my life! There is so much to be appreciative about than to be angry about. Count your blessings not your problems
I will want to be a voice of your correspondent in order to be able to collect accurate information and to inform others about events and issues around my community. And also be able to playing an active role in the process of collecting, reporting, analyzing, and disseminating news and information.
This will help me build a community of women able to face their challenges and to improve on their lifestyles. The fear factor will be minimized and women will be able to use the available recourses to fight against all forms of marginalization, the lack of affordable health care delivery systems, drinking water and sanitation, gender-based violence such as socio-cultural, socio-economic and social-political, HIV/AIDS, Female Genital Mutilation and breast ironing. Access to education by women still remains a great challenge with the result that it deprives them of information and economic independence. More training on information communication technology will raise awareness and more women will have access to the internet through sensitization.
Many thanks to the world pulse family and also to the 2013 voices of our future applicants, for the wonderful write-ups and contributions which you added to my world. You have given me a vision which has changed my life; my life is never going to be the same again. I have learned that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected, because doing what you is like, is freedom and liking what you do, is happiness

Success is not an easy Road

I wish i can get to my dreams one day.
Thanks for your warm words and keep the faith.

Dear Adahmbah:

Your voice is so strong and powerful, as is the vision you offer. A world of peace, in which women and children are treated with respect and love, and one of hope and courage. Creating a culture of peacebuilding in homes, communities and the world is my vision also, and I believe it is shared by many other women around the world, as you have found through the World Pulse community.

Your words reminded me of what Viktor Frankl said about the concentration camps in Germany during WWII. He noticed that some men would share their only crust of bread with others, and it led him to say in his book, Man's Search for Meaning: “The one thing you can’t take away from me is the way I choose to respond to what you do to me. The last of one’s freedoms is to choose one’s attitude in any given circumstance.” And: "Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” (You can read more about him at

Simple words have power. I remember speaking with a man in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, who had been working hard to build peace in a most difficult setting. He was gifted with being able to communicate well, and he developed three strong and powerful phrases that were being broadcast regularly on the local radio station. "We can’t build our country living in the bush. We can’t build our country through violence. We can’t build our country through raping women." Those words have stayed with me; I can see his face even now.

Wishing you strength as you work to achieve your vision!

Best wishes,

Women as virtue of Excellence

Thanks Rosemary
Thanks very much for these great push. I believe your words have spiced my vision. There exist so much conflict in homes and women pretend and refuse to find solutions to these conflicts. Some of them have died in silence and many are still dying. Africans need to be re- introduced the culture of peace in their vocabulary. Some communities are characterized by inter tribal wars and succession issues. Women are at risk at all circumstances e.g. there are their children who are killed; their farms destroy and even their properties. Peace is the finally solution to a bleeding heart. Please if you could me foster this version then it will be my pleasure getting involved in peace building trainings. Let’s change the world.

Powerful words!

I really enjoyed reading your blog, Adahmbah! I think you have an extremely valid point when you are writing that you would like to work with today's children to raise them as women's rights defenders. Though, we shouldn't neglect adults, I find it so important to focus on children and try to break the ever self-repeating vicious circle of suppressing women. Keep up with your excellent work! I'm very much looking forward to hearing more from you here on World Pulse!

Thanks Katharina

Thanks very much Katharina,
i do hope my dreams may come true someday because it's easy to correct the errors of the past from these young minds. They can be taught the basic and they will grow up and change the world which the adults have failed to change.
Thanks again

Dear Adah

I liked your piece very much and re-read it several times for inspiration :)
There are so many parts that I like, I wouldn't be able to tell you which is my favourite!
Your vision to "pave the way for the scared and unsure woman in my community"...and to "build future women’s rights defenders from present day children" are very meaningful and laudable.

I wish you great happiness, power, grace and might as you pursue your vision!
