We can work as a team

I am so sorry about my late posting, i am having issues with my system and the internet, i had to ome to the cyber cafe to complete this piece and this is very risky.
I am a very busy person both in my private and public life and i actually needed this message to have a rethink.
When i read the VOF week 4 messages, i screamed and said ‘this is just me’ i just want to sincerely appreciate the group of persons that came up with this wonderful idea.
I looked with compassion at my generation, the next and future generation and my heart bleeds and weeps every day and i told myself that if nothing is done now either individually or collectively we will all sink.
2015 is few years away and how much has the world achieved on the MDGs. I know that i must move fast on issues of women and girls or else they will be serious set backs but what could i do alone or from my far away underveloped and backward community? I know there are so many ills mostly due to lack of committed leadership and political will. They is great lack of values and our community requires value re – oreintation to be able to achieve the kind of society we desiore to see for our future generation. We are often full of judgemental attitude towards the next person without considering how we can harness each others potentials for a better world.
I have struggled to raise SAFEHAVEN for almost 9 years in areas of capacity, resource mobilization and human development. I know i needed my capacity to be built, i need someone to show me where i made mistakes, someone i could call any time without being scared of being turn off, some where i can shout, cry and laugh – a creative space for myself and team. I also needed where i can quickly find money to give someone for a day’s meal, shelter, clothes and be available all the time for my hurting community but i was always so busy for myself and then for some one else. I could not organize my life but suddenly i began to see hope coming like a light at the turnnel – here comes VOF.
My personal vision is to be passionate and successful in lives and life, excelling my carrer and enligtenment. My great personal vision is to be a master and develop myself, to create and maintain a relationship with my co- workers, friends and all.
I want to leave a legacy for the next generation and see the helpless society through value re orientation by participatary approaches for sustainable development. I want to be successful and passionate in my carrer to propergate issues on gender violence, equality and peace.

Education is a priority because when people are educated on specific issues, they are able to unlearn behaviours that are contrary to their beliefs.
I want to be a voice to my community – community does not mean my village or country but wherever i find myself in any part of the globe to contribute positively to the upliftment of humanity.
I desire to have a radio station because more people are able to connect and afford a radio than a TV, this will help me to empower women and girls better. Advocacy to the right channels is very important in this fight, i will increase my
I want to pave the way for the scaredand unsure, i will show the less fortunate , abused, of any background, culture or race that is in need of a helping hand.
I want to be a voice of our correspondance because this is my creative space where i can say all i want to say, learn, share and gain strengtht o acieve my vision.

Dear Maonah,

You have overcome obstacles just to get this assignment written and delivered, and the passion and determination are clear in your writing. I hear you!

Keep speaking out, Maonah, and keep writing. Your radio show hopes are excellent and what you say about education is so true.

Your intelligence and passion are clear, and you will make your community a better place for others.

So, thank you, and I wish you ongoing courage and strength.

With Gratitude,

- Sarah
