My Vision and Mission

Everyone can do something throughout their day to make a positive influence in the lives of those around them. This should be a goal of every person. I make it my mission.

It is not how big or small a person can do in making a difference. It is not who you are or who you serve. It is not how simple or complicated the ways are. It is indeed the positive impact it does in the life of a person.

There are many ways that we can make a difference. These are some ways:

Think good
Speak good
Give to those in need
Give without expectation
Give back
Make something beautiful
Be grateful
Sponsor a child
Be a leader
Set an example
Be a role model
Share the good things you do
Share your blessings
Pass on your happiness
Practice patience
Recycle and reuse
Let elderly and disabled people have your seat
Mentor a person
Be a friend
Bridge the gap
Be mindful
Work on what’s important
Open your heart
Connect your life with a greater mission

My personal vision for my life is to do my mission – to make a difference to people’s lives - in my community and to the world.

Joining the Voices of our Future is simply to make a difference – to connect my life with a greater mission.

To listen, to speak and to inspire will help me achieve my mission and vision.

I believe, we are all here to make a difference.

Let me end my piece by a quote of a great American author, Albert Pine. He says, “What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world, is and remains immortal.”

succinct and point well made

I love your recipe for helping others. :D I haven't read your previous assignments, so I don't know much about your community and personal story. What is your vision for your community?

Lia@WP's picture

thank you

Hi, Cexochiti

My mom was a professor, so I have so much passion for teachers.

I am pretty new in my community, and here in the US. My vision is just simply to help anytime and anywhere I am needed - it may be a volunteer work or a call to cover good news for my ireporting with CNN.

Be the Change

Hi Lia,

Thank you for sharing your vision and mission. Great examples of how seemingly small actions can make a big difference in other people's lives and the world.
How do you envision being a Voice of the Future correspondent will support other women to let their voices be heard, to be the difference? And how may that affect their communities?

joyful blessings,

Lia@WP's picture

thank you, too

Hi, Innerdelight

Thank you for your compliments. I appreciate it.

Being a voice of the future correspondent is a medium of a bigger expression, thus a greater community involvement and wider support from other women and organization around the world. This means a more effective way of shout out and more opportunities for solutions.

you have a nice website

Thanks for your piece Lia.

I totally agree that by doing these small but important things we can all make a difference on a daily basis.

I'm interested in hearing your story. What brings you here? What exactly would you do if you were a Voice of the Future correspondent?

In the meantime, let us continue to be the difference we want to see in the world. You are not alone!

Lia@WP's picture

we are together

Hi Millie

As you've said - I am not alone. So we are here together to give our piece of wisdom, solution and inspiration to others.

Being a Voice of the Future has a big responsibility yet great opportunity. I don't have a concrete plans yet but just simply to express my ideas, opinions, and wisdom is my goal here.

I joined World Pulse to give me more access to connecting with other people in other parts of the world, inspire more and learn more.
