A life to live a cause to fulfill.
Our vision, dreams and aspirations Can only come to life and be a reality when we take the first step.
My life has been shaped by my community my family and greatly by the decisions that I took as an individual, and all I hope to achieve as an African woman is basically centered around giving a voice and an avenue to whoever wants to make a change and wants to be heard, i want children to grow knowing they have the right to speak and be heard and for women to speak out without fear.
Its time for the African woman to be free from oppression, be confident she can achieve whatever she hopes to achieve and make impact in the world,as a journalist I want to be part of change in my community and the world.
I want to create a platform where people can be free to speak I want to standup for what is fair and just to humanity, I want to use the media to propagate self worth and dignity for every woman who has been abused and oppressed.
Women should rise up against every unjust treatment and never be silent. That is why I am availing myself to every opportunity I have to empower myself with the right tools for the moment when my dream will be a reality, when women can say no to every form of abuse by speaking out.
Being a voices of our future correspondent will provide me with the right atmosphere for expressing my thoughts on issues that concern women, learning from mentors, interacting with other women and gaining the right experience needed for where my journey through life would take me.
After missing the deadline off the application last year, I was very careful and watchful this year in order not to miss it again, I have been so excited since the application process began, because I believe strongly in the vision of wold pulse and I have been in search of an avenue like this, to participate and most importantly to learn.
I feel i belong to a family where we all are working towards achieving a great change in the lives of women world wide and I am happy to be a part of this wonderful family, where I am not shy or afraid to speak and express myself.
Because I am a journalist and want to work primarily with women in bringing change to the world, the voices of our future will equip me, create an avenue for networking and expose me to the intricacies of using the Web 2.0 as my tool for change.
