Hello Everyone

Hello everyone!

When i read the week 2 assignment, i was excited but that excitement died when i saw the words restriction; less than 500 words?! How am i going to tell my story in 500 words? Somehow i did!

What i learnt from this weeks assignment is that we may not have the time we think we need to say what we truly want to say, but as long as we have time at all then we should say the very important things first because in the end, those are what truly counts.

I wish us all only the best!

i'm laughing

because i had the opposite, i kept thinking there were too many, for a poem, if that is what is was. i kept adding words making it closer to 400 anyways. thank you for sharing this.

Wow!

I truly envy you all who submitted poetry.

I love poetry but haven't been able to put anything down that may pass for it.

Anxious to learn here!

poetry?

if you are suggesting i submitted poetry. WOW. cuz i just sat down one night and typed what i felt and thought as the words came. and put it simply. mental fragments.
if that is poetry, then it just flows occassionally.
and i love this discipline. weekly assignments.
gives me motivation.

Week two

It took me a long time to think up my story cause i have many stories. Luckily i also did not go over the 500 words although when you are writing its hard to choose what to put our there and what is not so important.

I feel You Sister!

I totally can identify with you.

What I did was just write and then I asked my friends what they thought should stay or go keeping the word limit in mind.

Funny I still feel I left out some very important details.

With Love and Admiration,

you are right Vweta

So much to say but so little space. Dont give up hope. the journal is there all the time. Just keep saying them even if its not part of the assignment, it will still be read by all and the impact will still be felt.

go ahead and tell your story all the time

cheers

I Agree!

That's another beautiful thing about web 2.0. The journals will always be there for everyone to read and benefit from.

Thank you for making me see it in this light.

Best Wishes,

One word can speak volumes

Thanks Vweta for sharing.

I too have had similar challenges and in my first assignment I went over the word limit by 300 words so i really had to scrutinize my writing. However in my journey on World Pulse as i read the experiences and stories of the applicants and community members, i marvel at how much is said using even just one word. sometimes that one word sums it up better than the 7 or so words. This inspires me to go back and look for that elusive word. sometimes it works, sometimes it does not but just keep trying.

regards,
MDG

Thank you for sharing this with us MDG.
