Poem, Oh my Love, Nigeria

Oh, my Love, Nigeria

Oh, my love, Nigeria
Wish women and children
Live without fear
Stay secure and fair

If violence, witch-craft lies and stories
Gives you no peace
Do not let them despise
Keep your pace with the peace of God

If never-ending hunger,
Forces you to anger,
Do not let your mind bitter
Never lose your virtue
Violence is no answer

Someday, sometime empty your heart
Let it be direct
Cry for help if your heart bears no more
Ask God for care
To give you peace and cheer
Oh, my love, Nigeria
How would that be a cure?

Hope someone will hear
With whom will share tear
To help you clear the fear
Keep your trust in God’s peer

Oh my Love, Nigeria

Hello

Hello Hideko,

I come to know you through Olanike (Greengirl) on WP. She wanted me to read about you because she is so impressed with you. So, I went to your profile and have tears in my eyes now as I write. It is incredible, unbelievable what you and your daughter have been through.

Your poem is lovely. But most lovely of all is your profile. I hope you will copy this profile as an article so that those who do not read profiles will read your story. I don't think most people read the profiles. Your story must be read by women. We all go through pain. But I do not know when I have heard of or read about what you have been through. And you have survived not only physically but with a spirit that is positive, gentle, firm and definitely has a larger purpose in the future.

My prayers are with you and your daughter. If I can sign a petition or do anything like that to help, please let me know. I am here for you in whatever way I can be.

Love and Ubuntu(I am who I am because of who we are together).

Dear Wendy, Thank you for

Dear Wendy,

Thank you for your kind comment. Wendy, Olanike told me about you yesterday. So I read your profile— your life stories that are filled with a sense of wisdom, that you must have earned and kept it like a gift. Especially the Vision for the Future, you said you stay open to the possibilities and let the universe work its magic. It is simple but many of us cannot let go for having too much desires of our own not knowing that struggling to attain can going against the purpose. You are really gifted in helping people to achieve more than they even thought possible. Finding the gift/opportunity in the problem, are the keys you succeeded.

Although many people commended that I accomplished so much within a short time, after all this trouble, guess what? It wasn’t me. Because I know I cant possibly do this far alone...That is why I say what I say above. That is why I appreciate my life altogether.

I really enjoy reading your pieces. Let me know how far your project is going and if there is anything I can do.

Thank you for your effort to reach me out.
With smile, love and warmth

Hideko N.

Your comment

Dear new friend, Hideko,

I want to read your wonderful message several times and think about what you say before answering. But because I respect you so much right away I want you to know that I have received your message, am moved by YOU and at this time when I am personally going through so much horrific upheaval/chaos/trauma , I am blessed to have you in my life.

I will get back to you tomorrow when I have thought about your meaningful words.

In the meantime, please know "You have touched me, I have grown".

A BEAUTIFUL POEM

This poem actually reveals that you have a beautiful and loving heart. With all the agonies you suffered in Nigeria . You still love Nigeria so much and you still have a burning pasion to see positive change in Nigeria . You are indeed a rare breed. God bless you real good for this poem. Thanks, but God put me in a rare situation...It is Him that did all this odd. It's not me. He loves YOU. He doesn't want to see the tragedies of women and children there any more. He made me taste all the bitterness and badness, but helped me to see beauty in people.
