Introducing myself and my journal: finding the child inside

About Me:
I'm thirty-two years old and have two children. I work as a server in fine dinning, but was just excepted into college for the fall in Human Services Foundation. I'm not quite sure where I'm going after this program, but it's a good stepping stone to working with the vulnerable. I'm very interested in people, in human rights, and equality. Everyone should have a chance to shine. I want to be a great example to my daughter, on how she can do, and be, anything she wants. That she doesn't "need a man to rectify her existence, that the most profound relationship she will ever have is the one she will have with herself." I'm on the path to finding myself, and I really excited of what the future holds for myself and my family.

My Passions:
working with the vulnerable

My Challenges:
finding my voice, getting into school

My Vision for the Future:
making the difference in peoples lives

Congratulations on your acceptance

Your words are inspiring. I encourage you to reach out to other members, or start a dialogue by commenting on another journal entry. I love that you have taken your interest in humanity and turned it around to empower your daughter, who will no doubt become a leader in her own right. I know that the spark you ignite in her will burn forever more. Please take a moment to post a photo of yourself or an image that best represents you.

Also, I am so happy that you have joined our Voices of Our Future group and look forward to hearing more from you. You might want to browse through all of our community groups (http://www.worldpulse.com/pulsewire/groups) as it's a great way to build powerful networks, find members with similar interests to your own, share ideas or actions. With the group journal, you can brainstorm solutions, pose questions, test ideas and create a support network for your visions. So, welcome and I know that you will find this to be a positive experience. Best,
Janice
