INNOVATION ON WORLD PULSE TROUGH HERO WOMEN.

As a new member on World Pulse, I can say that Web2.0 helps me a lot. It's a knew thing I can never forget because it make me learn new things. I am a member since March of this year, and a volunteer in Hero Women in D.R.Congo.

Web 2.0 excites me in the way that it's a newest engine that I use and which I think it's easy to use because it allows me, regarding of what I post, to collaborate with other people all over the world. Its professional presentation and worldwide distribution of my content is very exciting for me. Like Facebook, it is the good thing which connect us to others.

The solution that Web 2.0 brings to the global women's empowerment movement is that, by our journal posted, we are read by people in the world and in that way we can find solutions of our problems. It helps us to share our women's problems and projects, by chance we find solutions and be heard by others. Moreover, it helps us be connected by people we could never know.

These tools is empowering for me in the way that it makes me know what I could never know, for example, the VOF online training, and other training we find day by day on line and make me know that together hand in hand we can change the world. These tools are so important for me because, as I am jobless, staying home, I could never know how women suffer around the world, but through Hero Women and World Pulse, I know a lot of and important things.Being in the country war, I could think that we can find violences only in D.R.Congo, but in reading stories of other country, I see that women are the same and have the same ill-treatments all over the world.

So True Sister Therese

So true Therese. World Pulse's 2.0 engine has opened up our world and connected us to sisters in places we'd only heard about, or actually never heard about. And we discover that many of our sisters around the world suffer the same evils we do, and it has caused us to connect with them not only online, but in our hearts and prayers, as together we endeavor to transform our world into a place where love, peace, respect and regard for all, govern this planet.

In solidarity as One,

Neema

Good for you!

Hi Therese,

Thank you very much for writing here. It is great that you can use your energy to lead others to make a difference, beginning with your own voice. And, it is true, you are not alone in the struggle, in holding the desire for conditions to become better for women. As you can see here on World Pulse community, many of us hold the same vision for this.
I am glad you wrote!

All the best,
Laura

Isn't it great to be in World

Isn't it great to be in World Pulse, Therese? We get to share our stories and know the situation in other countries. You are right in saying that the issues that women face in your country, are also happening in other places. We, women faces similar challenges. Lack of recognition, lack of access to resources, inability to participate, etc. Many are unheard and sometimes unwanted.

With Web 2.0, women like you and me can do our share in making the voices of women heard by writing about them.

Hope to read more from you.
