I am in a new community as it is possible for me to know what is happening at anytime any where in the world. The most exciting thing to me about Web 2.0 is connecting, information sharing, linking, watching, talking, listening, chatting with people across the globe being possible once we are connected to the internet. I have come to understand the way the information I see on the internet gets there and how they can be connected to each user of the net. It is like magic that is how I use to see it and keep imagining how people get connected and read the same information and chat with many people at a time. It’s interested to know that Web 2.0 makes it possible for people around the world to read what I put on the internet and get connect to me directly. The solutions that Web 2.0 brings to the global women’s empowerment movement are making it possible for women to work with their folks from any part of the world with out any problem. The Web 2.0 solves the problem of distance, expensive phone call, and gives women the opportunity to discuss with many at a time and within a short time. With these tools I will learn how to connect to other women and will use the tools to make the voices of women in Cameroon heard, build my capacity and that of other women and I have already connected to a woman in Nigeria. Thanks to World Pulse for the Voices of Our Future.

Yehey, Lucy! You made it, you

Yehey, Lucy! You made it, you transfered it in time to your own Journal. Good luck.

we are all connected

You have not only made connection to a women in Nigeria.
You have made connection to women all over the world. Look at the number of people on this forum alone representing so many countries :) I am sure we are all here for each other.

Definitely count me in as your counterpart from the tiny island nation in the Indian Ocean known as the Maldives.

I have met and am friends with people from a number of different countries but have never personally met anyone from Cameroon. I am delighted to have 'met' you here Lucy.

Excellent post!

Hi Lucy,
You wrote it so succintly, that yes, the web has allowed for all of us to share information quickly and in a less expensive way. I can relate because when calling my family abroad, it can be quite pricy, but when I use the internet, I have found it to be cheapter and we can talk for long periods of time, share pictures and keep in touch. Facebook has been a great way to keep in touch with others too! :-)
Great post and best of luck!

Hi Lucy,

Great to read your enthusiasm for this new media format to connect. It sounds like you will make some wonderful relations making heard the voices of women you come in contact with. Keep up the positive energy to reach out to others.
