The experience of rape is a very traumatic one. I cannot imagine the hurt and pain you must have gone through, even for you to contemplate suicide. It can be very distressing too that one cannot find someone to share the hurt and pain with. However, I am glad that despite this trauma you emerged a stronger woman, and you can share your story with the world. God bless you Jekra, and keep being strong!

So strong!

Jekra,

What you've been through can be so, so traumatic, and the fact that you've made it through shows your immense strength! Strength, though, can mean so many things. Being so open about it and your struggle with suicide makes you strong. Talking to your stepmother about it, even though she didn't respond well, makes you strong. Sharing your story makes you strong. Simply being alive and still facing the day makes you strong, and on the days when you feel like you can't, acknowledging those feelings and allowing yourself to have them makes you strong. Don't ever let anyone ever tell you otherwise! Many blessings.
