A Powerful Woman’s Voice

Shari Arison is an American-Israeli businesswoman, philanthropist, and author. She was one of the world’s most powerful women in 2012, and one of the world’s greenest billionaires in 2010.

Shari initiated the international good deeds day in 2007 in Israel, with 7,000 participants. It has grown to more than 250,000 good deed doers in more than 50 countries across the globe.

She does not only lead the world in doing good deeds, but she also inspires readers through her new book, “Activate Your Goodness – Transforming the World Through Doing Good.”

On her book, Shari says, “By consciously choosing positive words, feelings, and actions every day, each of us can enhance the goodness in the world. I believe that doing good will not only transform and enrich our lives greatly, but it will also create a powerful ripple effect. Our personal and collective acts of kindness to ourselves and others will ultimately impact all aspects of life, the planet, and the whole of humanity.

Her powerful voice says, “If we only think good, speak good, and do good, we can transform the world.”

My interview with Shari on international good deeds day that was celebrated in the U.S. on March 10, together with the launching of her new book, was a great opportunity and experience. Her powerful voice has inspired my own voice to accelerate my impact as a citizen journalist.

We may not be as powerful as Shari, but we all have powerful voices. And when our voices unite, that creates a more powerful voice to transform the world.

Thank you

Thank you for sharing this! This is inspiring. I will mark Good Deeds Day for next March, though I believe every day a good deed can be done, sometimes with a smile, othertimes with a shout.

Thank you, too

Hi, Leedja,

You are welcome, and thank you as well for reading my piece. I am glad you've learned something from me. I love to learn from other people as well.Yes, there's an official international good deeds day and it was launched March 10. I agree with you that every day is a good deeds day. I practice that too. It has been my goal to do at least 1 or 2 good deeds a day. I have these good deeds day pins on my wall as a reminder.

Looking forward to talk to you more and share wisdom with each other. By the way, what state do you live? Happy weekend.

Best,
Lia

Nice Piece!

I am inspired by the life of Shari Arison and by your commitment to use your powerful voice to enrich and transform the world. You just inspired us all to do the same. It is so very true that “If we only think good, speak good, and do good, we can transform the world.”

I am glad I came across this piece, keep sharing.

Thank you

Hi, Greengirl.

I appreciate your compliments. Thank you so much.

It is always nice to share inspiring wisdom, because you never know who you will inspire. I love sharing what I've learned and be an inspiration to others. I or we may are not be materially wealthy but we have wealth of wisdom to share. I see you have great advocacy and I admire you for that.

I am looking forward to write more pieces (hopefully to have more extra time) and hope to inspire more. I love learning from others as well. Those people that I inspire (like you) are my motivation to write more and do more good deeds.

Happy weekend.
Best,
Lia
