Inadequate information killing the Marriage and Divorce Bill
There is still controversy . I want to agree with the analysis coming from the press that the MPs who don't support the bill cannot positively consult over the Bill. Instead they went decampaigning it. It is obvious that these MPs went out with a biased view to ensuring the Bill is rejected by communities. Not adequate information was shared. There is dominant discussion on contentious issues such as property rights, conjugal rights etc leaving out the obvious advantages, Some legislators were consulting on the old DRB not the revised MDB.
Im glad there is now a group of men who have formed into a group to ensure that they will work to ensure the bill is not shelved citing that the Bill is not a woman issue but foe the entire family and community harmony. I think this is a good approach.
