Introducing myself and my journal: City Girl

About Me:
Growing up in Bangladesh seemed like breathing - until I met the world. Born in a university campus in Dhaka and now living and studying in another university campus in Chittagong, I have traveled a long distance in between. I have learned that people and their stories are special, personal and powerful. These stories bring change. When stories are shared, lives are shared. That is how I grew. I found power in words and passion in writing. My belief is that constructive debates and conversations are the solutions to the world's problems. My dream is to work with the people of my communities and help them empower themselves. I believe writing will get me there. I am a student, I am a Bangladeshi, I am a woman - I have a voice.

My Passions:
Writing, Debate, Working for Change

My Challenges:
Overcoming gender disparity and poverty that problematizes women's access to information and opportunity

My Vision for the Future:
Head of an NGO or INGO and policy maker for Bangladesh and the World

My Areas of Expertise:
Learning, Listening, Loving
