Just like Marriage, Divorce is a decision
When two people decide to spend their life time as a married couple, they must have come to a level of understanding and awareness that they can manage Marriage requirements, however, no matter how the two people get to know each other and feel they match, there is always a room for misunderstanding and conflict of opinions. It can always work out by communication, Yet, when the conflict is not a conflict of opinions but interests, the marriage comes to an end, which sounds so logical. The same way we see ourselves somewhere, sometimes, we figure out we DO NOT want to continue.
In so many communities, especially the eastern ones, when marriage is over its a hell on earth! It is considered a stigma and shameful for two people to get a divorce. What is more frustrating is that divorced men continue their lives and remarry, while divorced women are judged to be bad! Divorced women have less, if not zero, chance to find another husband in our communities, but it is not the case for men when trying to find another wife!
I personally know some women who were beaten up every single day, and their families accept to see bruises on their bodies rather than helping their daughter to get rid of a monster. WHY? Cause people would their them as bad! I think it is better to be judged as a bad person rather than unmerciful and unfair with our children !!!
I personally know some women who have spent years with their husbands with absolutely no feelings to share, yet they think they are destined to continue their marriages, just because religion does not allow it. I believe No God ever accept two people live together in misery!
I know women who accept to live with alcoholic husbands who waste their money on alcohol rather than medicines for their sick child, just because they do not want their children to be raised away from their dads. Our children would rather live orphans than live with fathers that does not look after them.
Marriage and Divorce are two actions we take when we think we have enough reasons to take! I get married because I want to start a family and find love! and I get divorced when I do not find love, and my family suffers! No matter how the community, religions, and traditions see it, we are the ones who decides where to be! Our lives are ultimately ours and have the right to speak out and live what and where we want to live.
