Introducing myself and my journal: Simji's Digest

About Me:
I am Simi Goshwe, the founder and CEO of SIMJI GIRL-CHILD EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE(SGEI). This project is working with the less previlege, orphaned and school drop out girls(age 15-24) in our society whose hopes been jeopedised by the situations which they find themselves. I was also a disadvantage girl when I was growing up...But I saw the finger of God upon my life which guided me through those rough and difficult years of growing up... I got inspiration and began to learn how to make our local spicies (yaji) which I was selling out to my friends and school mates... that was how I raised money to pay my school fees through my NCE and today, I have been a professional teacher and about graduating with a masters degree from the University of Jos Nigeria. Thank you.

My Passions:
Working with the less previlege girls and teaching empowerment skills that will help the face the future with boldness.

My Challenges:
the difficult economy in my country Nigeria.

My Vision for the Future:
That these girls will get to their destiny successfully.

My Areas of Expertise:
Teaching empowerment skills such making spicies, soap making, airfreshner, candles,Moringa Powder, clothes msking, knitting and hair do...

I am so happy you have joined us.

Simi, your project sounds so wonderful. I hope that you will share more about it here on PulseWire.

Your voice is vital to raising awareness of what is happening in Nigeria. I encourage to apply for the World Pulse VOF Program. It will enhance your skills as a voice for girls' empowerment but more importantly, will connect you with other women and girls around the world demanding a more just world.

I have seen first-hand how much each person's writing skills develop, their confidence grows, how they garner support for their personal projects, and how many went on to have their articles picked up by international media such as the BBC, CNN, and the New York Times.

I hope you will consider applying. The world needs to hear your voice.

In peace and with best wishes,

We had a great time with the daughters od SIMJI GIRL-CHILD EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE(SGEI), learning how to make liquid soap, it was real fun having the girls very excited and singing Joyfully and praising God greatly... I know and believe that the future holds great promises for these beautiful girls...

Simi Goshwe's picture

The SIMJI GIRLS were able to complete the Liquid soap making to day... the girls had great fun... women and Girls, the World over can learn to make this soap, use it at home and also sell some in order to make some money for themselves and their family. Young girls could get into this trade and do it diligently and also say NO to any form of SEXEUAL ABUSE just because they have to make ends meet...
