Introducing myself and my journal: Child Rights
About Me:
I am honored to be part of this great online community. I like sharing information and I hope that this avenue will provide me with a platform for information sharing and networking in order to serve my community better.I am a 52 year old mother of three grown up children. I work as a programme coordinator at Action for Children Development Centre in Kenya. The Centre empowers children and youth through rights advocacy and education, entrepreneurship and child sponsorship. I have a passion for working in the community as I am able to witness firsthand the social changes that some of our interventions have brought. This provides me with the drive and motivation to continue working at grassroots level. However, I feel frustrated when we are unable to secure funds for some of our programmes that go along way in ensuring that we meet our goals. I hope that through networking we will be able to mobilize adequate resources for our programmes.
My Passions:
Working at grassroots to promote change
My Challenges:
Inadeqquate funds to meet my obligations.
My Vision for the Future:
A society where children and youth enjoy their lives to the fullest.
My Areas of Expertise:
Journalism and Project Management

Welcome!
It's so good to have you join us. This is an exciting time for you to join the World Pulse community. There are many tools available for you here and many women all over the world to share with. In just two weeks we also will be launching our 2013 Girls Transform Digital Action Campaign. Hopefully this will be of interest to you. It is about gaining access to education for girls and women. I hope you are able to join the conversation! Look for it March 28th.
Best wishes,
Kathy
