I want to recommend Chimamanda Adichie's Half of a Yellow Sun. It's an interesting and delicious read. It's based on the Biafran war and re defines the roles of women and the nature of relationships. You wont be able to put it down

I second this recommendation!

I second this recommendation! Half of a Yellow Sun is a wonderful book. I've just started Adichie's first novel, Purple Hibiscus, which comes highly recommended from a few friends.

glad you enjoyed the books. Adichie has a new book out, a collection of short stories titled The thing around your neck. You should enjoy it too.

I just checked it out of the library

I just, just put this on hold at my library after doing a little research on the Orange Award Prize winners and thinking this looked quite interesting...now, it will be top of my list. As an avid reader, always looking for a good book!
