"It takes the hammer of persistence to drive the nail of success."
Thank you, Grace Ikirimat, for your welcome. It is a bit dazzling to enter the World Pulse world where so much is happening, and the options are so wide. I'm excited by the possibilities and I bring a basketful of hopes for what I can learn and contribute. I want to have more courage for my voice, and to learn where and how to publish. I want my writing to grow in solidity and grace. I want to be strategic about using my energies to support global grassroots leadership, making a difference in climate change and women's freedoms. I think I may find support for those goals here, and a chance to help others in their goals. We shall see what I can make of it here with so many others.
Thank you, again.
I want to encourage you to apply to participate in the 2013 citizen journalism online training , the call for applications is currently running. check it out.
Thank you for the encouragement. I intend to apply to Voices of Our Future, and I'm excited by the prospect. One thing I haven't seen is the time commitment expected. Many people in the training must have jobs or be going to school, so it must be compatible with that, with a serious focus during that time (and beyond to put the learning to good use).
I think the training would offer me much of what I need to break the barrier between my writing and thinking and getting my voice into the world.
Can you tell me a little about yourself? If you have many people you need to correspond with, I understand you can't take much time.

Thank you. I have started, but I'm still taking in what is involved in the application, in the context of the breadth of World Pulse. It's quite an organization and it must have some talent in the administration and in the many parts to keep all this happening. The structure and actions of the organization will begin to settle in for me, no doubt.
Thanks for being a welcoming voice. That's a sign of a good organization right there!
