La violence de toute forme

Bonjour mes amis

Merci beaucoup.

Violence of Any Kind

Hello My Friends,

Up to now, they kill and they rape here in eastern Congo DRC. There are armed thieves spreading panic throughout the city of Bukavu. They take everything that we have in our homes; and if you have nothing, they kill you. What startles us is that they are doing this only a few meters away from police presence.

In another village situated about 125 kilometers from Bukavu City in the Fizi territory, there is a group of criminals targeting widowed women. They enter their homes and ask for food, but once they finish eating, they rape them all night, ending at 5:00am. The victim doesn’t know where to go. Even if she makes a complaint, the village chief will say there is no solution. If the widow refuses, they kill her.

I used to believe that if we placed someone in charge of a country, region, city, town, neighborhood, village, etc. that they would look after the population. For there can be no president, or whomever it may be, without a population to govern.

They used to tell us in primary school that it was not customary to kill women and children in wars of long ago. So where have all these crimes come from? Is it Satan that kills, or is it men who kill others? World Pulse is looking out for this kind of violence against women. It’s like a virus has entered into Congo DRC’s perpetual wars, and it must kill and rape women in general.

We oppose it with all our energy! Instead of searching for the solution in the immediate future, day in and day out we sign agreements that are not even enacted by the time members of the population die. Still there are people without homes and without food, etc. Who is going to save the situation?

Thank you very much.

Ca m'a fait réfléchir

Salut mumbalima,

Cordialement,
Hannah S.
