According to a news caption this Wednesday 20th of February during the morning hours, a young girl of 8 years of age was raped by a 57yo male in Lubumbashi in the Katanga province. The victim’s parents took initiative and consulted a doctor who confirmed that the girl was in fact raped. The doctor in effect had to make a police report for the police case. Unfortunately the case did not get to court, the rapist instead of being convicted was released. Therefore the victim’s parents are seeking interventions and agencies that are here to help the girl reclaim her rights. We (the women) are not afraid to cry: WHEN WILL THE END OF IMPUNITY FOR RAPIST COME?

The women are demanding that the justice department starts working, for rape is not only a violation of the womanhood, but also a crime against humanity. Why should criminals be protected, they have to pay for their crimes.
